Compared with other seasons, neutering cats in summer may not be conducive to wound recovery. The weather is very hot in summer. At this time, the cat is sterilized. If the wound is not paid attention to, it will be easily inflamed and difficult to heal. Most cats in spring are in estrus, and cats in estrus cannot be neutered.

Cat sterilization precautions:

1. Cat sterilization surgery should be performed at least after the first vaccination, preferably two weeks after all vaccinations are completed. . Making sure the immunity is fully effective before going to the hospital for surgery can effectively reduce disease infection and contagion.

2. Try to prevent the cat from running and jumping within two weeks after the operation. Place the cat's nest, cat food bowl and litter box nearby for its convenience.

3. Postoperative feeding should generally follow the doctor’s instructions. If there is no special guidance from the doctor, the first feeding is usually done 3 to 6 hours after surgery. Do not force the cat to drink or eat.

4. Eat small meals frequently in the first few days after sterilization. The first few days after sterilization are a critical period. This period is not suitable for cats to eat too much to prevent the cat from defecating too often, which may cause the wound to open.
