The reasons why kittens cannot eat catnip: 1. Cats under 3 months old are not sensitive to catnip and have basically no excitement reaction. 2. Unweaned kittens should feed on the mother cat’s breast milk. Catnip cannot be used because their bodies are not fully developed yet. 3. The nervous system of kittens is not fully developed, so it is best not to receive strong stimulation to avoid discomfort.

Precautions for feeding catnip to cats:

1. Do not feed milk cats. Cats should be fed after they are 8 months old.

2. Pay attention to the appropriate amount of feeding and do not overfeed.

3. If there are multiple cats at home, it is best to isolate them when feeding to prevent them from getting excited and fighting after feeding.

4. Do not give catnip to pregnant cats to prevent the cat from being too excited and running and jumping, leading to miscarriage.
