Cat food can be soaked, mainly when cats are in their infancy, or when cats have diseases in their gastrointestinal tract or mouth. You can soak cat food until soft before eating, which is beneficial to digestion. But for adult cats, cat food does not need to be soaked separately, otherwise it will not have the effect of grinding teeth.

Precautions for soaking cat food:

1. Use warm water to soak. Any cat food cannot be soaked in boiling water. The nutrients in the cat food will be lost after it is boiled. It is best to soak the cat food in 50-degree warm water and let the water cover the cat food slightly.

2. Soak until soft and eat. It is recommended to soak the cat food according to the cat's food intake each time. Feed the cat food 1-2 hours after soaking until it becomes visibly soft when pinched with your hands.

3. Do not leave it for a long time. After the cat food is soaked in water and left for a long time, there may be a lot of hair, dust and other dirt on it. In this case, the cat food is easily contaminated by bacteria.
