The Pomeranian is a compact, short-backed, active toy dog. The scientific name is Hadori Pomeranian (commonly known as the British Pomeranian). It is a type of German Spitz and originated in Germany. It has soft, dense undercoat and coarse coat. Because Pomeranians are petite and cute, they are loved by many pet lovers in the pet industry, so there are many people raising them. However, Pomeranians’ thick hair often makes it difficult for owners to clean them. Now I will call you How to modify the style of a Pomeranian.

Pomeranian

For a Pomeranian with a very thick coat, first use a soft comb with a wooden handle to comb it thoroughly from head to tail. On the one hand, it can smooth and reduce hair breakage. On the other hand, it can also clean the dog's body and remove hair. The bad smell on the body makes the dog's body fragrant. Regarding trimming, focus on the ears, limbs and tail, and trim it slightly. Basically, as long as the length of the hair is not uneven, and each part looks natural and comfortable.

Nails should be trimmed every fifteen days. If the nails are too long, it will affect the appearance of the dog's gait. Ears should also be cleaned with cotton swabs; cleaning them for too long will produce odor and cause inflammation. If your eyes often have tears, you should apply non-irritating eye drops and wipe them with tissue paper to keep the area around your eyes clean.

Notes

1. Correction of ears

If the distance between the two ears is large, the outer edge of the ear should be trimmed more and the inner edge less hair. If the ears are very compact, the outer edge of the ear should be trimmed less and the inner edge hair should be trimmed more (see picture).

 2. Correction of limbs

For dogs with long limbs, the abdominal line is trimmed to a small extent and the hair is left longer; for dogs with short limbs, the abdominal line is trimmed to a large extent and the hair is shorter (see picture).

Preparation

Electric clippers, 10# blade, straight clippers, dental clippers, small scissors, beautician comb, Pomeranian.

How to operate

1. Task preparation

(1) Use a 10# electric scissor head to shave the soles of your feet cleanly.

(2) Use a 10# electric scissor head to shave the abdominal hair cleanly. Shave the male dog into an inverted "V" shape and the female dog into an inverted "U" shape.

(3) Use a #10 electric scissor head to shave the hair around the anus into a "V" shape, with the width no longer than the base of the tail.

2. Operation steps

(1) Trim the Pomeranian’s feet into a cat-like shape

Stretch the dog's feet forward, use your thumb to push the hair on the toes to the right, use small straight scissors to cut off the excess hair that exceeds the edge of the foot pad, then push the hair to the left, cut off the excess hair, and expose the toenails. Then work on the break to make the foot look curved.

(2) Place the tooth scissors at the base of the tail, trim the hair at the base of the tail at an angle of 45 degrees from both sides, lift the tail, pinch the feathers in the middle of the tail, lift the hair on the tail upwards, trim the hair on the base of the tail, and trim Until it is almost level with the tail, and when viewed from the side, it feels like the base of the tail is lifted to the waist, and the hair on the side edges is cut into a fan shape so that the tail rests on the back. Cut off the hair that affects the fit of the tail and back.

(3) Trim the buttocks with straight scissors

Expand the trimming range to a little above the buttocks, round the buttocks and thighs to the hocks, and trim the thighs into a "chicken thigh" shape.

(4) Lift up the hair at the hock joints of the hind limbs and observe whether the hock joints are perpendicular to the tabletop. If so, cut off the uneven hair. If the hock is slanted forward, the hair will be short on the upper part and long on the lower part; if it is slanted backward, the hair will be long on the upper part and short on the lower part.

(5) Trim the waistline

Use straight scissors on the left and right at an angle of 45 degrees to trim the boundary line of the thigh along the buttocks. Trim a slight arc in front of the hind limbs, but do not highlight the waist.

(6) Use straight scissors to trim along the curve of the lower abdomen from the thighs of the hind limbs to the feathers of the forelimbs. Trim the lower abdomen parallel to form an arc-shaped abdominal line.

(7) The dog stands with its two forelimbs parallel to each other normally. Lift up the chest hair and use straight scissors to cut out two circles from top to bottom and from right to left. The lowest point of the circle is the elbow joint to make the chest round and full.

(8) Cut the forelimbs into a shape perpendicular to the ground.

(9) Hold the dog's upper and lower jaws with your thumb and forefinger, pass your little finger around the top of the head to clasp the back of the head, block the eyes, and cut off the beard and eyebrows with straight scissors from above and below respectively.

(10) Use sound to attract the dog to straighten its ears. Touch the ear with your hand, pinch it with your thumb and index finger, and then use your little finger scissors to cut off the excess hair on the tip of the ear (see picture), so that the tip of the ear, the corners of the eyes, and the tip of the nose form an equilateral triangle.

(11) Use straight shears to trim and round the uneven coat on the back.

Such a cute Pomeranian shape comes out.
