How to remove static electricity from cats:

1. Before petting the cat, touch the wall to release the electricity, then touch it with your palm to expand the contact area. Do not use your fingers. Touch the cat with your tip to solve the problem by changing the contact area with the cat.

2. Increase the ambient humidity. You can place a humidifier at home to improve dry indoor air.

3. Use a static eliminator. You can go directly to a pet store or buy it online, and then hang it around your cat's neck, which can also effectively eliminate static electricity.

The reasons why cats have static electricity:

1. The climate is dry in winter. If the owner turns on insulation at home, the temperature will rise and take away the moisture in the air, thus causing static electricity.

2. It may be that food causes the blood in the body to become acidified, making it easier to generate static electricity.

3. There may also be static electricity generated by the friction between the cat’s fur and human palms.
