It is good for cats to eat high-protein food. Cats are different from other animals. They are strict carnivores in the wild because they do not lack any essential amino acids when they only feed on animal tissues (essential amino acids: cannot be synthesized in the body and must be taken in from external food). At the same time, cats have a high demand for protein, which is almost three times that of dogs and five or six times that of humans. So feed your cat high-protein food.

What high-protein meats can cats eat:

1. Salmon. It is rich in omega-3, and is helpful for cats’ heart and immune systems, and helps improve cats’ vision.

2. Cod. It is rich in protein and has little fat content. It is composed of unsaturated fatty acids and has an absorption rate of up to 95%. Cats will not easily gain weight after eating it. Fish bones need to be removed when feeding fish.

3. Chicken breast. Chicken is rich in vitamin C and high-quality animal protein. The meat is tender and easy to be absorbed by cats.

4. Beef. Beef is rich in nutrients, rich in protein, trace elements, amino acids, etc., and beef is good for digestion.
