Cats are allowed to roam free. Generally speaking, cats can be divided into two ways: captivity and free-range. Captivity means that the cat is raised at home without taking the cat out, while free-range means that the cat’s freedom is not restricted and the cat can be allowed to roam around. Generally speaking, when the cat is young, it is not allowed to go out. When the cat is familiar with the environment, you cannot let the cat roam freely, otherwise the cat will easily get lost. However, when the cat becomes an adult and becomes familiar with the surrounding environment, the cat can be freely roamed without restricting the cat's freedom.

Dangers of free-range cats:

1. Lost cats. Nowadays, the buildings in the community are all built in the same look, especially the well-decorated houses. Even the security doors look the same. With more and more high-rise buildings, cats can easily get lost once they are let loose.

2. Easy to get sick. Cats that spend time outdoors can easily bring back parasites. If you come into contact with nearby stray cats, you can easily be infected with feline distemper, feline AIDS, peritonitis and other malignant infectious diseases during the period of high incidence of infectious diseases. Free-range cats will inevitably catch mice, birds and other small animals, and will also bring back germs.

3. Increase the number of stray cats. Families that raise cats generally do not have the awareness to raise cats scientifically and will not neuter the cats. In this case, the cats will definitely mate with stray cats outside during their heat period, and the resulting kittens will become stray cats if they are not adopted. Slowly, the number of stray cats will increase exponentially.

4. Car accident. There are a lot of cars outside now, especially at night, and drivers drive faster. Cats can easily be blinded by the headlights and hit by cars if they fail to dodge in time. In some cases, they may suffer fractures, but most cats will be crushed until their flesh and blood fly everywhere.

5. Captured. Although cat theft is relatively rare compared to dog theft. But now cat dealers are becoming more and more rampant, especially in recent years when the cat meat market is booming. There is a group of cat dealers who catch stray cats and illegally let loose cats in the community. Once they catch the cats, they will sell them to the roadside. Vendors selling mutton kebabs use cat meat as mutton to sell to consumers; or they sell cats to Guangdong and other places where cat meat is eaten.
