Dog ear cleaning and care
Cleaning and Care of Dog Ears
1. Before cleaning the dog’s ears, first check the condition of the ears. Things to check for are dirt, earwax color, odor, skin redness, etc.
2. During the inspection, secure the dog firmly so that the dog will not move wildly.
3. If you find any abnormalities, do not clean the ears immediately. Instead, choose to go to the pet hospital for treatment, and decide on subsequent cleaning based on the diagnosis given by the veterinarian.
4. For dog breeds with hair in their ears, the excess hair should be cut short before cleaning the ears, and the hair on the ears should be gently pulled out with pliers and fingers.
5. Grasp the dog to stabilize it, put a few drops of earwax cleaner on the ears, and then start massaging the dog’s ears. Relax your dog with massage.
6. When the dirt in the ears comes out, the dog needs to shake its neck to make the fluid flow out.
7. Clean the dog’s ears not only on the inside, but also on the outside with soft cotton and cleaning fluid.
