Aifenpin originated in Germany in the 17th century. Although it has contributed to the breeding of the more famous Brussels Griffon dog, there is currently no record of any monkey terrier ancestors. The Monkey is a dog breed related to the Brussels Spaniel. It has an ape-like face, pointed ears, bushy eyebrows and antennae. In the 17th century, the Germans used local dogs to improve many times and produced this new dog breed. By the end of the 19th century, it was still raised as a favorite dog breed for women. The monkey-faced dog was fixed after the 20th century. There are currently many people raising this kind of dog in Germany. It got its name because of its ape-like appearance and quick movements.
