Steps to teach a kitten to defecate:

1. You can choose a designated place in the toilet for the cat to defecate.

2. Put the cat’s excrement in this place.

3. Bring the cat to this place and let it smell it with its nose to let it know that it can urinate and defecate here.

4. If the cat starts to defecate in this place, the owner can give it an appropriate reward after defecating to encourage its behavior. After doing this, it learns to go to the toilet to defecate.

Suggestions for teaching kittens to urinate and defecate:

1. Choose toilet supplies suitable for kittens. Before you start training, buy a small, shallow litter box. If the litter box is too high, it will be difficult for the kitten to get in and out, making it inconvenient to use.

2. Training after feeding. Start training immediately after the cat eats, and once they have finished their food and water, take them to the litter box. Have a warm, wet towel ready in hand to wipe the kitten's anus and genitals. The mother cat uses her tongue to stimulate the pups to defecate, and towels have the same effect. After wiping with a towel, put the kitten into the litter box. It doesn't always work the first time, so try a few more times.

3. Observe the kitten’s defecation intention. Observe your kittens while they play. If a kitten wants to defecate, it will go to a secluded area. Once you find this tendency, quickly catch the kitten and train it in the same way. When the kitten uses the litter box correctly, reward it with treats and verbal praise.
