1. Toy induction
Put the cat on a swimming ring and place it in the water. The owner will hold the cat for the longest time. Favorite toys to induce cats to swim forward slowly. When the cat adapts to swimming in the water, throw the toy farther away and encourage the cat to pick up the toy. When it is fully adapted, take it to swim in deep water.
2. Make a call
If the cat does not dare to go to the deep water area, the owner can swim to the deep water area first, and then call the cat with a toy to signal it to swim over.
Precautions for training Pomera cats to swim:
1. If the cat is very resistant to swimming, it must not be forced into the water to avoid being overly frightened, causing a stress reaction and causing size and pain. Fecal incontinence can lead to death in severe cases.
