Experienced dog owners all know that it is best for novices to raise slightly older dogs rather than puppies, because novices without experience can easily raise puppies to death. Even pet owners who have raised older dogs but not puppies still need to pay attention to several important precautions when raising puppies.

​1. Don’t make your puppy overtired. Playing with the puppy when it comes through the door will make it happy and increase its sense of belonging, but excessive play will exhaust the puppy and make it difficult to support. Therefore, after the puppy has played for a while, it should be allowed to rest more and regain its physical strength.

2. It is best to keep it away from strangers for two weeks, and do not take it to busy places, as this will frighten it.

3. When the puppy is sleeping, do not disturb it, let alone frighten it.

4. When the puppy is eating, do not harass it or make it run or jump.

5. Do not give random snacks. Otherwise, it will easily affect its normal appetite, cause gastrointestinal discomfort, and cause vomiting or diarrhea.

6. Pay attention to the gestures of catching puppies. First use one hand to grab the top of the dog's neck and lift it up, and then use the other hand to support its abdomen. Do not just grab the skin on the back of its neck like a cat. When holding a puppy, you can place one hand on the puppy's chest, and support its hind feet and tail with the other hand or arm, close to the body to make it feel stable. Never hold a puppy by just its front legs, as the puppies' bones and muscles are not fully developed and can easily cause fractures or injuries.

7. Do not place puppies in high places, even for a moment. Because most puppies are afraid of heights, they may suffer concussions or fractures if they fall accidentally.

8. Do not scare the puppy with sudden noises. This will make it timid and lose confidence in the new environment.

9. Never deceive puppies. Don’t think it’s okay to play with it. This is a taboo in raising puppies. Because doing this will make the puppies unable to distinguish right from wrong, and they will have no sense of trust in their owners in the future. When training puppies, the language should be affirmative and rewards and punishments should be clear.
