Methods to train a dog to hold a bowl

1. Put the toy in front of the dog. When the dog bites the toy he likes, say The exit command is "hold it in your mouth".

2. Attract the dog’s attention. If you don’t pick it up or bite it halfway or are not interested after sniffing it, you should shake the toy in front of the dog’s eyes.

3. Let the dog keep it for a while. When you release the toy, say "put it down" and give the dog a reward.

4. If you repeat this a few times, the dog will be able to associate the command "hold" with the action of biting the given thing.

5. Change the toy to the bowl. If the dog does not hold it, you can help the dog bite it. Rub the bowl against the dog's mouth, or gently pinch the dog's mouth with your hands.
