Training a Husky is a long-term job that requires a lot of patience. Below we will introduce to you the basic methods and principles of training a Husky.

1. Dog owners need to communicate more with huskies

To train a Husky, you must first be patient, and at the same time, you must constantly chat and communicate with the Husky. Some scientists believe that although many animals have higher IQs than huskies, no other animal can surpass huskies in understanding people's words, deeds, expressions and even emotions. Therefore, communicating with your Husky is not only necessary but also effective.

So when training, you must remember to keep talking to your Husky dog so that it knows your attitude and your praise and criticism.

2. Cultivate Husky’s confidence

During training, we must pay attention to cultivating the Husky's confidence. For example, when your husky does something right or performs well, don’t be stingy with your praise for your dog, such as “Little Ha, that’s great!”

If a Husky has strong self-confidence, it will not be prone to anxiety. Therefore, dog owners may wish to play more games with their husky, fully praise and praise its outstanding performance in the game, and enhance its self-confidence.

3. Let the Husky get used to the leash

In daily training, the Husky must be allowed to adapt to the dog leash, so as to facilitate subsequent training subjects. Once the Husky puppy has become accustomed to walking on a leash and begins to practice walking, the leash can be used to make small corrections to the Husky during training.

For example, when the Husky is running ahead, you can use the traction belt to pull it back; when the Husky lags behind, use the free traction belt to pull it forward; when the Husky obviously deviates to the left, bring the Husky back to the left side of the trainer.

But if it is a new training subject, do not use too strong stimulation to correct the Husky. When a puppy first starts learning a new subject, it does not know what the trainer is thinking or what he wants it to do, so it should not be stimulated too much.

4. Discipline the Husky after you are familiar with its personality traits

Dog owners should observe the Husky’s personality before training them. Because different husky dogs have different personalities, some huskies are easy to give in while others are stubborn. Some huskies only need to be scolded lightly to learn what they are doing, while some huskies become more disobedient the more they scold them. Training like this will get twice the result with half the effort.

(Of course, this is not absolutely the case. When scolding it, you should do it with love and observe its reaction to properly grasp the scale).

5. Pay attention to persistence

The most important thing for dog owners to train their Huskies is to be persistent. You don’t have to schedule too much time each day, but do it step by step without any rush.

If the owner can’t muster the energy to train it first, the Husky will be sensitive to your emotions and become indifferent. On the contrary, if a training is arranged for too long, the Husky will feel that there is nothing new and will not be too focused on learning.
