3. Generally speaking, most folded-eared cats have symptoms of this genetic disease. In severe cases, the disease may begin between six months and four years old. For some cats with less pedigree of folded ears, the symptoms are less obvious, and the onset time will be later. Usually, joint or bone symptoms will not appear until middle-aged and elderly people.
