The incubation period of rabies virus in dogs is generally within 14 days and will not exceed two months. If rabies virus attacks, death usually takes 3 to 5 days, and the longest will not exceed 10 days, and the possibility of cure is almost zero. Therefore, dogs need to be vaccinated against rabies when they are three months old, and then once a year.

How to prevent rabies in dogs:

1. Take your dog to the hospital regularly to receive rabies vaccine. Generally, a rabies vaccine is required every year.

2. When taking your dog out, avoid contact with other dogs to avoid being bitten by rabid dogs.

3. The owner can carefully observe the dog’s condition to determine whether the dog’s abnormality is due to rabies to avoid greater harm.
