Symptoms of feline tracheitis:

1. The common symptoms are coughing, sneezing, and wheezing when breathing.

2. Severely sick cats sit in a hen-squatting position with their necks stretched forward, and dry and wet rales can be heard in the trachea.

3. When inflammation spreads to the bronchi, cats will have difficulty breathing, increased respiratory rate, decreased appetite, and lack of energy.

Treatment methods for feline tracheitis:

1. If lung infection occurs, antibiotics are required.

2. Oxygen therapy, given to cats with difficulty breathing, can relieve respiratory symptoms.

3. Give inhaled drugs. Inhaled steroid drugs can be given by metered spray, spacer, and mask. Alternative treatments to oral steroids may be used. Long-term use of inhaled steroids does not cause the side effects of steroids.
