1. Let the dog stand on the grooming table in a correct posture, and use a needle brush to comb slowly in the opposite direction from the hindquarters to the front;

2. Comb your head;

3. Finally brush the tail.

Cleaning:

Before cleaning, clean the ears and nails, and shave the soles of the feet and belly hair.

1. Squeeze out the pet bath liquid and dilute it with a little water, and control the water temperature at 35°-38°;

2. Use your thumb and index finger to gently squeeze the anal glands to clean them;

3. When taking a shower, you should wet your front body first and rinse from front to back. Then apply diluted bath solution on the head and body, and gently rub along the head to the back, abdomen and limbs. Do not let the bath solution flow into the eyes;

4. After rubbing, wash the whole body with water. Note that West Highland White does not need conditioner.

Blow dryer:

1. Wrap your body with a bath towel and move to the table to dry the water;

2. Blow dry the remaining moisture with a hair dryer, starting from the head and using a brush to straighten each part bit by bit until the hair roots are completely dry;

3. After blow-drying, use a straight comb to comb the hair all over your body again to see if there are any knots or hair that has not been straightened.

Shaving:

1. Shave the hair on your body, from the chest to the elbow, from the elbow to the tail ischium, in a diagonal circle, from the occipital line to the elbow, from the elbow to the waistline, from the waistline to the ischium, and from the sternum to the elbow;

2. Shave all the hair on the tail;

3. Shave from the chest to the throat, from the ears to the throat (like a Schnauzer).

Shearing and repair:

1. Trim the lines of the feet. Cut the hair on the sides of the feet short (like a Schnauzer). Cut the hair on the soles of the feet horizontally. When cutting in a circle, cut in a straight line. Because the front feet are larger than the back feet, you should pay attention to highlighting this feature when cutting the front feet;

2. Use dental scissors to repair the wiring of the electric clipper. Make sure it is connected naturally. The forequarters, hindquarters, and sides of the legs should be straight lines. Use dental scissors to cut diagonally from the waistline to the elbows, just slightly obliquely;

3. The chest is the same as that of a Schnauzer, with the front and upper wrists shortened;

4. For the face, use teeth to trim the lower corners of the eyes. Comb the hair on the top of the head forward, with horizontal lines in front and diagonal lines on both sides. Slightly tidy it up. Use teeth to trim the hair on both sides of the nose and face to the base of the ears. Connect, use dental scissors to connect naturally at the occipital bone;

5. The ears do not need to be trimmed, but some beauticians shave off 1/3 of the hair at the tip of the ear, shave the hair on the inside of the ear, and then slightly modify the tip of the ear.
