If you are bitten by a kitten with a needle-sized wound, immediately wash the wound with plenty of running water (20% soapy water is best) for more than 10 minutes. At the same time, squeeze out the blood from the wound, and then use iodine and medicinal alcohol. Alternate disinfection and repeat 2-3 times.

Situations in which injections are not required after being bitten by a cat:

1. The cat has received at least one booster vaccination 1 year after the first vaccination.

2. The cat has been vaccinated multiple times, and the validity period of the vaccine used (1 year or 3 years) has not exceeded the latest vaccination.

3. After the cat was vaccinated, it was experimentally detected that antibodies were indeed produced.

4. Use a ten-day observation method for cats confirmed to have been vaccinated to confirm that they were not infectious at that time.

5. Confirm that the cat has not been exposed to suspicious storage hosts in the past six months.

6. Kittens under one month old.

7. The person has received rabies vaccine and is still within the effective protection period, and the injury is not serious. If any of the above conditions are met, it can be considered that the bitten person is safe and is only observed for 10 days without vaccination.
