There is a certain chance of feline distemper relapse after treatment, but this chance is relatively small. In daily life, it is necessary to strengthen the care of cats and feed them properly to increase the cat’s resistance and reduce the risk of feline distemper recurrence. Feline distemper is a contagious disease. Once it develops, cats will have symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, and loss of appetite, which require prompt treatment. Cats can be vaccinated regularly to prevent feline plague.

What to pay attention to after treatment of cat plague:

1. Disinfect the home before taking the cured cat home, although the cat has been cured , but there are still viruses at home that need to be cleaned up in time.

2. Take cats for regular vaccination every year to avoid the risk of cats being infected with feline distemper virus again.

3. If there are other pets at home, the sick cat should be isolated for more than 3 months and then fed with healthy pets.
