To ensure that the Samoyed dog can live better with the family, it must be trained from an early age to develop the habit of excretion at fixed points. Of course, training a Samoyed to develop good toileting habits requires certain skills. So how do you train your Samoyed not to urinate at home? During the training process, you must master scientific methods and guide your Samoyed correctly so that he can slowly form a habit and urinate and defecate correctly.

How to train a Samoyed not to use the toilet at home?

1. First, narrow the scope of the Samoyed’s activities. If you want the Samoyed to be convenient, limit it there. At first, I closed it in the toilet. Then cover the Samoyed's activity area with newspapers. Remember that if you want to put a drinking water basin and a dog kennel, they must be placed in a corner, as far away from the excretion area as possible, and do not put them on newspapers.

2. If you find your Samoyed peed on the newspaper, reward him with food, and at the same time praise him vigorously, such as: "You peed on the newspaper, well done! Rewarding your Samoyed immediately after urinating is the best, and reward him afterwards with constant pointing. Let the newspaper smell it and then praise it more.

After two days, reduce the area of newspaper spread. When changing newspapers, be careful to leave an area with urine stains. Ditto for vigorously rewarding just excreting in newspapers.

3. When most Samoyeds excrete in newspapers, reduce the number of newspapers and slowly expand the scope of activities. I open the toilet door and close other doors that can be closed. Same as above. Reward the Samoyed vigorously whenever he poops in the newspaper. If you are elsewhere, you should pay attention. This is the key to success or failure in the future. It is best to use a free day at home on the weekend to train, because you have to catch the scene.

4. Once you find that your Samoyed is about to do something bad, immediately remind him loudly using the usual words such as: "On the newspaper" or "Go to the toilet". At the same time, point the direction of the toilet towards the Samoyed and lead him to the toilet. I think the effect of carrying it to the toilet is not very good. Often it will be distracted or scared. As a result, it will not urinate when it gets to the toilet, and it will do bad things as soon as it leaves. If it's too late, point to the urine stain and scold the dog severely, then take it to the toilet and say "newspaper" repeatedly.

5. If you are not wrong, you will drag the Samoyed to the scene and push his head down. The Samoyed has become accustomed to urinating and defecating on newspapers, and you can take the Samoyed outside. Laying newspaper outside where you want your dog to pee is a constant reward. When the Samoyed is almost four months old, the Samoyed can defecate regularly about three times a day, and he can be taken out at a good time.

6. In the early stages of training, parents should carefully observe the excretion patterns of Samoyed dogs. Generally speaking, Samoyeds will have the need to excrete after getting up in the morning and every time they drink water and eat. When you see the dog lowering its head and sniffing the ground, its body turning in circles, and its hindquarters tending to squat, it means it seems to be excreting. at this time,Parents should take the Samoyed to a fixed dog toilet as soon as possible and then encourage it to urinate. And after the Samoyed defecates, encourage and praise it, slowly cultivate the Samoyed's awareness of fixed defecation, and let it develop good defecation habits.
