Symptoms of nutritional anemia in dogs:

1. The affected dog is in low spirits, has a curled-up abdomen, and is prone to fatigue. The coat is rough and dull, the skin and visible mucous membranes gradually become pale, and the ear shells appear off-white when illuminated.

2. Loss of appetite, digestive disorders, increasing weight loss, accompanied by vomiting, glossitis, accelerated heartbeat, shallow and fast breathing, and sometimes heterophilia.

3. The sick dogs develop slowly, and their growth and development are hindered. In the later stage, they become highly weak in movement, shake, fall to the ground and have difficulty standing up, until they lie on the ground and cannot stand up, until they are lying on the ground and the whole body collapses.

Causes of nutritional anemia in dogs:

1. Protein deficiency: caused by insufficient protein intake by animals or chronic digestive dysfunction.

2. Trace element deficiency: iron, copper, and cobalt deficiency. Clinically, iron deficiency anemia is common. Iron is an essential component for hemoglobin synthesis; copper deficiency can also lead to reduced hemoglobin synthesis.

3. Vitamin deficiency: Lack of vitamin B1, vitamin B12, vitamin B6, folic acid, niacin, etc. will lead to disorders in the production of red blood cells and hemoglobin synthesis, resulting in nutritional anemia.
