Today let’s talk about things you don’t know about diet! The body structures of pet dogs and humans are different, so when taking care of your pet, especially when it comes to diet, you need to keep a clear mind at all times and don’t be distracted by you. Your beloved pet should look pitiful and confused, and stop giving your dog unsuitable things in the name of pampering!

1. Vegetables

Onions and garlic

Onions contain N-propyl disulfide, which destroys red blood cells in cats, causing a fatal form of anemia in the body. Therefore, all forms of onions, including processed seasonings, are toxic to cats and dogs, and onions also contain large amounts of this substance. Garlic contains relatively small amounts of similar substances, so do not eat it for a long time or in large amounts!

Green tomatoes and raw potatoes

Solanaceae plants and their branches and leaves contain glycoalkaloids. When they enter the body, they can interfere with nerve signal transmission and stimulate the intestinal mucosa, causing severe discomfort in the lower digestive tract of cats and dogs and even gastrointestinal bleeding. Raw potatoes and their skins, leaves and stems are also poisonous. When potatoes are cooked, the alkaloids are destroyed and they are safe to eat.

Broccoli, cabbage, rapeseed, lotus root and burdock

Excessive consumption of these vegetables can cause gastrointestinal disorders, and excessive intake can even be fatal. But broccoli can be beneficial in small amounts.

Spinach

Contains a small amount of calcium oxalate, which can cause urinary stones in cats and dogs. Cats and dogs with urinary problems or kidney diseases must not eat it.
