Cats like to sleep under the covers on the bed. Many cat owners often sleep in the same bed with their cats. These are harmful cat raising and unhygienic habits that should be completely changed. Since some cat diseases, such as dermatosis, lice, toxoplasmosis, etc., are easily transmitted to humans, it is very necessary to train cats not to go to bed and get into the quilt.

Cats should be trained to develop the habit of sleeping in their own dedicated cat nest. Before training, a particularly comfortable nest should be prepared for the cat. In winter, a hot water bottle can be placed in the nest. If after taking these measures, the cat is still unwilling to sleep in the nest, you can put a cover on the nest so that it cannot escape. After several times of training, the cat will no longer run out, and of course it will not get into bed.

If the cat has developed the habit of going to bed and getting under the covers, you can use the following methods to correct it:

1. Direct punishment method: When the cat goes to bed or gets into the owner's nest, immediately slap the cat's buttocks with your hands, or slap the cat with a newspaper roll or book, and scold the cat loudly to drive the cat out of bed. At this time, the host's attitude must be severe and show anger. Since cats are very sensitive to their owner's emotions, as long as the owner expresses anger, the cat will not dare to go to bed and get under the covers. After repeated repetitions, the cat's bad bed habits can be corrected.

2. Long-distance punishment method: Fill the prepared bamboo water spray gun or children's toy water gun with water and set it aside. When the cat wants to jump on the bed, the cat owner stands in a hidden place where the cat cannot see it and immediately sprays water on the cat. The cat will escape immediately after being attacked by the sudden water flow. After attacking the cat with water several times, the cat will develop an aversive conditioned reflex towards the bed and will no longer go to bed.

3. Electric shock method: Charge the battery capacitor, place the electrode end where the cat often goes to bed, and the cat owner controls the switch of the battery capacitor. The cat owner goes to bed first and pretends to be asleep. When he finds the cat on the bed, he immediately presses the switch. The electric shock can knock the cat down immediately; generally speaking, a cat will develop an aversive conditioned reflex towards the bed after receiving an electric shock, so it will not go to bed again.
