Although Totoro is called Totoro, it is actually not a cat. Why is it called Totoro? It is because it looks similar to the protagonist Taro Totoro in the cartoon "My Neighbor Totoro" by Japanese animation master Miyazaki Jun. Therefore, it was later called Totoro by Hong Kong and Taiwan. For chinchillas, because the main food of chinchillas is relatively large in daily life, chinchillas are relatively easy to raise. We must also pay attention to some details when raising them, so that chinchillas can grow healthily.

Feeding of young chinchillas

1. The food fed to young chinchillas (before 8 months old) mainly consists of staple food, alfalfa, and grass. For example: the first day: grass in the morning, food in the evening; the second day: alfalfa in the morning, food in the evening; the third day: repeat the first day, and so on.

2 In fact, young chinchillas should eat alfalfa as their main food, so as to provide them with sufficient nutrition. In addition, they should only eat timothy grass two days a week to reduce the burden on their gastrointestinal tract. If blindly feeding alfalfa and staple food only leads to soft stool, the weight of the chinchilla will be affected.

3. When the chinchilla is young, the breeder should prepare enough food for it, and feed it with small meals and frequent meals every day. This should not only meet the chinchilla's nutritional needs for food, but also avoid eating too much food, which may cause the chinchilla to become ill. Become obese. In addition, it is best not to feed young chinchillas snacks.

Feeding of adult chinchillas

1) Adult chinchillas (after eight months) are given staple food and grass, and alfalfa is stopped.

2) In addition to preparing suitable staple food for adult chinchillas, you can also prepare a small amount of snacks for it. The snacks that chinchillas can eat are very simple: special chinchilla snacks, or fresh apples, carrots, sand fruits or red fruits, peeled and diced. For any snack, 1 to 2 snacks every other day is enough, don’t give too much!

3) An adult chinchilla needs 20~40ml of water a day. Chinchillas are very drought-tolerant animals, but their drinking water must be clean. You cannot give them raw water, at least boiled water. water, or purified water.
