Cats do not have to be neutered. It is decided based on the cat’s own situation and it is recommended to treat it rationally. Because neutering cats not only has advantages, but also has certain disadvantages. It is up to the pet owner to decide whether to sterilize the cat or not. If you do not consider breeding the cat, and if the cat is causing trouble to you during its estrus period, then it is recommended that the cat be sterilized.

Benefits of cat neutering:

1. Reduce the risk of disease. For example, diseases such as testicular tumors in male cats, pyometra, ovarian cysts, breast tumors, pseudopregnancy and other reproductive system diseases in female cats. These diseases are very fatal to cats.

2. Let the cat get rid of the tension, irritability, and loss of appetite caused by estrus, and restore its original lively nature. Moreover, male cats will also get rid of the habit of spraying urine to vent their anger.

3. Neutering the cat in time can prevent the cat from being in a very tight state for a long time. It can relieve cats' emotional problems, make cats docile, and get rid of the troubles caused by hormones during estrus.

Disadvantages of cat sterilization:

1. Cats may become obese after sterilization.

2. The cat may have a stress reaction due to sterilization.

3. Postoperative wound infection in cats may affect their health.
