For pet Himalayan cats, they don’t like bathing very much. But these are not things that Himalayan cats care about. Himalayan cats naturally don’t like water, so they don’t like bathing. In order to avoid this situation and let the cat get used to and develop the habit of bathing, the owner should start training the cat from an early age and let the cat develop the habit of bathing from an early age.

First of all, you should prepare the bathing tools before bathing your Himalayan cat. For example, bathtub, towels, hair dryer, detergent, comb, brush, scissors, nail clippers, etc. Before giving the cat a formal bath, you should comb the cat's hair. When combing, you should not only comb along the hair, but also against the hair. If you encounter hair that is difficult to comb, you can use scissors to cut the felt into thin strips along the growth direction of the hair, and then comb it with a comb. Owners should carefully comb the parts of cats that are difficult to clean by themselves, such as the head, shoulders, back, neck, etc. If they encounter hair that is difficult to comb smoothly, they can use scissors to trim it appropriately. After the cat's body hair is combed smoothly, you can start taking a formal bath.

The bath water prepared for the cat should not be too hot or too cold. Before bathing, you can put the cat's paws in the water and let the cat test the water temperature. If the cat does not reject it, then you can start bathing the cat. First, wet the cat's body completely, then apply shower gel, gently rub the cat's body with both hands, and carefully rub every part of the body, then rinse it with clean water. During the cleaning process, be careful not to get the bath water into the cat's eyes or ears to avoid causing the cat to feel uncomfortable and refuse to take a bath.

After cleaning the cat, you need to wipe the water droplets on the hair with a towel, and then use a hair dryer to dry the wet hair thoroughly to prevent the pet cat from catching a cold. Then use 75% alcohol cotton balls to disinfect the cat's external auditory canal, and then dip the cotton swab in olive oil or edible vegetable oil to gently clean the cat's ears. Then trim the cat's foot hair and toenails. At the same time, if there is abnormal secretion of dirt at the corners of the cat's eyes and mouth, it needs to be softened with warm water and cleaned up in time.

Himalayan cats should be bathed in a closed room, and cats should not be bathed in a cloudy and humid environment. In summer, you can bathe your cat in the evening when the sun sets, and in winter, you can bathe your cat in the afternoon when the sun is warm. Bathing a cat does not need to be too frequent, as long as it is decided according to the specific hygiene condition of the cat's body. There is no fixed time limit to stipulate the cat's bathing cycle.
