Yes. Cats with dystocia are very prone to death. Generally, dystocia in cats occurs during the first delivery. During the process of dystocia, the cat will lose a large amount of blood and will suffer from hemorrhagic shock. If dystocia is not treated in time, it can easily lead to the death of both the mother cat and the unborn kittens.

Phenomenon of dystocia in cats:

1. The female cat is relatively weak and has irregular abdominal labor for more than 2-4 hours.

2. Wailing in pain, listless, even unwilling to move, crying and licking and biting the vagina.

3. The female cat has not given birth for more than one week past the expected date of delivery.

4. The amniotic membrane is broken and amniotic fluid flows out, but the kitten is not born.

5. All kittens cannot be produced within 36 hours.

6. Abnormal secretions from the vulva.

7. There may be symptoms of excessive vomiting or extreme lethargy.
