Many times it is more difficult for us to train cats than to train dogs. Do cats have lower IQs than dogs? Obviously not. There is a lot of evidence that shows that the IQs of cats and dogs are almost the same. So what causes it to be difficult to train cats?

Siamese Cat

But you have to understand that in many cases, a cat lies in its owner's arms out of its own free will, rather than following your orders. When it rubs its owner with its head and body and makes delicate meows, it is just because it is hungry, wants to eat, or has some requests that people cannot understand.

Of course, this does not mean that cats cannot be trained at all. Cats are very smart and can learn many actions and behaviors. If you start training kittens from five to six months old, you can still achieve some results.

For example, it can train cats to open doors, extend their claws, roll, hold objects, and fix themselves in a certain place to excrete. Kittens are more dependent and more plastic during this period, so they need to step up their training to form habits. Otherwise, after the cat reaches one year old and matures, its personality gradually strengthens, and it is no longer willing to obey human training.
