Generally, morning sickness will occur about 3-4 weeks after pregnancy, but not all cats will experience morning sickness. Owners can pay attention to the behavior of their cats. If the cat retches or vomits, it may be morning sickness. Morning sickness in cats is caused by changes in estrogen in the body and the enlargement of the cat’s uterus, which affects the cat’s normal digestion and metabolism. When the cat vomits, the owner can observe whether the cat's nipples become pink and full. If so, then the vomiting is morning sickness.

Signs of pregnancy in female cats:

1. Within the first ten days after the cat is successfully pregnant, the cat does not like to eat in the morning. This situation usually only lasts for 48 hours. During this period, the pregnant cat may vomit slightly several times. Once the female cat is pregnant, her food intake will gradually increase, and some of her usual actions will appear to be very cautious.

2. Female cats always like to lie in a quiet, warm and bright place when they have nothing to do. The number of times they sleep has increased significantly, and their sleeping posture is mostly lying down with their bodies stretched out. At the same time, in terms of physical performance, generally speaking, the nipple color gradually turns pink and the breasts begin to enlarge around 20 days after pregnancy.

3. The character of a pregnant cat may become gentle or rough. After one month, the abdominal circumference will start to become thicker.

4. After the sixth week, the female cat’s abdomen and breasts become enlarged, the fetal movement can be felt on the abdominal wall, and the fetal heartbeat can be heard with a stethoscope.
