Pekingese Dog Feeding and Training Guide

As a unique dog breed in my country, Pekingese dogs have always been loved by people. However, during the breeding process, Pekingese dogs are required to have characteristics such as slow running speed (so that they cannot run out of the palace) and poor athletic ability. Therefore, the Pekingese dog’s ability to resist disease and harsh environments is not strong, and it also needs people’s careful care.

So how to feed Pekingese correctly?

The first thing is to provide adequate nutrition. In addition to feeding an appropriate amount of vegetables, bread, biscuits and other vegetarian foods every day, you also need to feed 150-250 grams of lean meat once in the morning and afternoon. You can also feed shrimps and fish. It is best to add some ground milk powder, calcium powder and multivitamins to the vegetarian diet. At the same time, you should also give it some cold water.

In addition, in hot summer, dogs should not be exposed to the sun, as there is a risk of heat stroke or even death.

In terms of cleaning, because the Pekingese’s hair is thick, it must be combed regularly to prevent tangles.

Of course, daily exercise is essential, and you need to do outdoor activities with your dog during cool hours.

In terms of training, it should start from an early age. The ideal training period should be around 70 days after the puppies are born. It must be done step by step and not rushed.

The most important thing is love. Pekingese dogs have a certain degree of possessiveness. As long as they identify their owners, they will follow them to the death, so you must give them enough love and stay with them.

Of course, online knowledge is not as good as direct communication. If you need to know more about the feeding and training of Pekingese dogs, please add the owner of XY Kennel on WeChat: 18576601532
