How to care for dogs after surgery

1. Keep the dog quiet and less active: lock the dog up and take a sedative if necessary.

2. Prevent licking, biting or scratching the wound: You can have someone take care of the wound, wear a neck ring to prevent the neck from bending, apply protective material to the wound, trim toenails or wear special leather shoes.
