Methods to determine whether a Tibetan Mastiff is purebred:

1.Head

The head should be large, the front shell of the head should be protruding, and the distance from the upper part of the dog's nose to the back of the head should be large and long. The mane around the back of the head and the neck should be plump and erect (but the coat of tiger mastiffs is short).

2. Mouth type

The muzzle is required to be short, wide, square and thick (those with long and thin points are inferior dogs)

Hanging lip: The cheek skin droops to cover the lower lip. Flat lip: The upper lip does not hang below the lower lip when the mouth is opened.

3. Eyes (eyeballs are yellowish brown)

A. Hanging eye: The upper part of the eyeball is hidden under the upper eyelid, and the red fleshy fundus of the lower eyeball is exposed.

B. Triangular eyes: The outside of the eyes looks like two triangles, looking fierce and intimidating.

C. The eyes are like two leaves, and the eyes make people look gentle.

4. Waist: The chest should be wide, and the waist should be long and thick, like a tiger's back and a bear's waist.

5. Tail (commonly known as chrysanthemum tail)

A. Oblique chrysanthemum: The tail is curled obliquely on the dog's back. The tail hair should be long and the curling should be tight.

B. Flat chrysanthemum: The root of the tail is tightly curled, and the flat curl is placed on the top of the back. The hair should be long and it looks like a big chrysanthemum.

6. Leg claws: From the upper part of the claw to the upper back of the dog's leg, there is about 5cm of tail (crimson hair). The claws are tightly packed like tiger claws, and the long hair between the toes is better.

7. The body hair is pure black, it must be black with no stray hairs, there can be small pieces of white hair under the chest, yellow legs and four eyes, yellow spots above the eyes, and yellow hair on both sides of the mouth. The other hair color requirements are the same, and a yellow dog is a yellow dog , there should be no noise.
