To judge whether a cat has a fever, you can also observe the tip of the nose. If the cat has a fever, the nasal branches will become dry. Cats with fever can also become lethargic and unwilling to move.

Determine whether you are dehydrated by observing the condition of your skin. If you lift the skin and loosen it, the skin can quickly return to its original shape, indicating that the skin has good elasticity. If the recovery is slow, you need to replenish water. Prepare some drinking water and place it in different places so that it can be drank at any time. If the cat refuses to drink water, it can be fed through a straw. You can also use your favorite food, such as canned juice, to keep your cat hydrated. If the body temperature is high, you need to seek immediate help from a veterinarian and take antipyretics.

Apply ice packs to your cat's belly, paw pads, and armpits to cool them down. You can also use medical alcohol cotton to wipe the cat's paw pads to cool down, but be careful to avoid licking.

Human cold medicines contain ibuprofen or acetaminophen, which are toxic to cats. Also do not give your cat aspirin or any over-the-counter pain reliever to prevent further worsening of the condition!
