1. Because our cat has entered a physiological sexual maturity period, its sex hormones are strong, leading to increased oil secretion from the sebaceous glands. Then when the cortex blocks the pores of its hair follicles, it will cause inflammation of its hair follicles.

2. Because the hair follicles of Ragdoll cats are directly infected with pathogens, mainly Candida aureus, it leads to infectious folliculitis. This situation is caused by our cats’ immunity becoming very low. If our cat has not entered sexual maturity or has entered old age, the folliculitis found at this time is likely to be caused by this reason.

3. Due to some oil or dirt, it covers the hair follicle holes, which will cause the hair follicles to be blocked, leading to folliculitis. This situation usually occurs when our Ragdoll cat eats. Its chin will take up an excessive amount of oily substances, or it may be because its chin has not been cleaned for a long time, resulting in the accumulation of dirt, clogging the hair follicles, and causing of folliculitis.

4. Ragdoll cat’s excessive fat intake leads to excessive secretion of oil, which then blocks its pores and causes folliculitis.
