Cats should not eat food directly from the refrigerator. Food taken directly from the refrigerator has a lower temperature. Eating frozen food will damage the stomach and intestines. For a long time, the cat's appetite will be reduced, the absorption function will be reduced, diarrhea, nutritional deficiencies, etc. Feeding cold food for a long time may cause gastritis, enteritis and other conditions in cats. It is best to warm the food first and wait until it reaches normal temperature before feeding.

Solutions for cats accidentally eating frozen food:

1. If the cat does not have diarrhea, the owner does not need to worry.

2. If the cat has mild diarrhea, you can first control the cat’s diet, feed small amounts with frequent meals, and use probiotics for conditioning.

3. If the cat has severe diarrhea, artificial oral rehydration salts or infusion are needed to adjust the cat’s water, electrolyte and acid-base balance.

4. If there are other symptoms, symptomatic treatment is required.
