Symptoms of rabid cats:

Methods for dealing with rabies in cats:

1. If a cat with rabies is found, it should be killed immediately, buried deeply or burned.

2. When dealing with a bitten cat, the owner should first let some blood flow out of the wound to reduce virus absorption. Then rinse with soapy water and treat the wound with 3% iodine anhydride. If symptoms occur, symptomatic treatment can be provided according to the condition, such as sedation, antispasmodic drugs, and hormones such as hydrocortisone.

3. The bitten cat should be injected with anti-rabies immune serum at the same time, and injected at points around the wound. The dosage is approximately 1.5 ml/kg body weight. The immune serum should be injected within 72 hours after being bitten.

4. The entire treatment process should be ensured to be carried out under strict isolation conditions.
