Causes that may cause hard breasts in dogs:

1. Weaning. In the early stages of weaning, female dogs will have swollen breasts and may even have hard lumps.

2. False pregnancy. If this happens after the dog is in heat, it will naturally get better after a while, because dogs often have a phenomenon called false pregnancy. When a false pregnancy occurs, the dog will have swollen breasts and produce milk, just like a nursing dog.

3. Mastitis and mammary gland tumors. Lumps in the breasts are common in female dogs. They may be mastitis or tumors. Further confirmation is required and they need to be taken to the hospital for examination.

Solutions to dog’s hard breasts:

1. When the mother’s pet breastfeeds after giving birth and the puppies are weaned, they cannot be completely weaned immediately, but need to reduce the amount of milk every day. Breastfeed frequently and wean slowly.

2. Mothers with mastitis can be taken to the hospital. After being examined by a doctor and given medication, the condition will generally improve.

3. Breast tumors require a comprehensive physical examination to detect whether they are benign tumors or malignant tumors and to cooperate with surgical removal.
