Tools for bath preparation:

Pet-specific bath soap, absorbent towels, comb, hair dryer

Differences in skin pH: Human shampoo is more alkaline.

Differences in skin structure: Human skin has 10 to 15 layers, but dogs only have 3 to 5 layers.

Preparation for bathing:

1. If the water temperature and water pressure of the shower head at home are unstable, you can prepare water with the appropriate temperature in advance according to the dog's size and water consumption.

2. Choose a cleaning product suitable for your dog and carefully read the instructions for using the bath solution to dilute it in the correct proportion.

Steps to take a bath:

1. After adjusting the water temperature, lower the shower head close to the skin to reduce the sound of water flow. Start pouring water from the neck down, then the legs, and finally the head.

2. When showering the head and face, raise the dog's head first, place the shower head close to the hair, and let the water slowly flow down the head. Avoid getting water into your nose, eyes and ears.

3. After the dog is completely wet, you can start to squeeze the anal glands and then rinse away the dirt.

4. Pour the diluted bath solution on the dog's body, first on the back and limbs, and finally on the head. Gently rub the bath solution to fully foam. Dogs with thick coats can use a bath brush to assist in rubbing.

5. Rinse the bath solution thoroughly to avoid any residual chemical components causing discomfort to the dog’s skin.

6. After rinsing, prepare a few more absorbent towels to wipe the dog's coat repeatedly. Drying the water as much as possible can effectively reduce the time of blowing.

7. When blowing hair, use the comb in your right hand to comb the hair on the back against the direction of the hair, and use the hair dryer in your left hand to comb the hair while blowing it. The hairdryer should be kept at a certain distance and blown up and down to avoid burning the dog's skin.

Notes on bathing:

1. The dog’s anal glands do not need to be squeezed every time you take a bath.

2. Long-haired dogs should be rubbed in the direction of hair growth to avoid knotting.

3. When cleaning the eye area, pour the bath solution on the bridge of the nose and gently rub along both sides of the eyes.

4. There is no saying that 80% dryness is OK. Incomplete hair blowing can easily cause skin infection in dogs.

5. The puppy's resistance is very weak, and bathing can easily cause respiratory infections. You should wait until the antibodies gradually take effect about seven days after all vaccinations are completed before you can consider bathing it.

The initial stress reaction after arriving home and weak resistance can easily cause respiratory infections when taking a bath;

Injecting a weakly toxic vaccine into the body will cause the immune system to react, causing some dogs to lose resistance..
