Cats cannot take human eye drops. The dosage of human medicine is often different from the dosage that cats can use, and some ingredients of human medicine are not suitable for cats. When a cat has eye problems, you should first take the cat to a pet hospital for diagnosis to check what is the cause of the eye problem, and then treat it with symptomatic medication. Do not use medicine without authorization, otherwise it may aggravate the condition or interfere with the cause of the disease due to drug abuse.

Possible causes of cat eye problems:

1. Cat diet problems. Feeding cats too much human food in daily life, which is too salty and oily, will cause the cat to shed tears and form ugly tear marks.

2. The cat’s eyes have inverted eyelashes. Inverted eyelashes are also a major cause of tears. Ingrown eyelashes will continuously irritate the eyes and cause tears and tear stains in cats.

3. The cat has nasal congestion. If a cat has nasal congestion, the eyes will also secrete a large amount of fluid. It is recommended to give the cat some eye drops immediately. Cats’ eyes are prone to inflammation during nasal congestion, so the cat’s eyes need to be cleaned to relieve eye problems.

4. The cat’s living environment is not clean. Sometimes, if the environment is too dirty, there will be a lot of bacteria. If the cat's eyes are infected, it will become allergic, red, swollen and tearful.
