The occurrence of worms in dogs indicates that there are already many parasites in the body, and urgent internal deworming treatment is required immediately. Currently commonly used internal anthelmintic drugs mainly contain albendazole and other ingredients. The specific dosage should be used according to the anthelmintic drug instructions and the dog’s weight. Dogs usually need to be dewormed in the body. Generally, dogs under 12 months old need to be dewormed once a month, and dogs over 12 months old need to be dewormed once every three months.

Notes on deworming dogs:

1. Determine what worms are being dewormed and use targeted medications, such as nematodes, heartworms, hookworms, etc., and many others. All types of internal parasites cannot be killed at once, such as tapeworms, trichomonas, coccidia, etc., which require separate oral anthelmintic drugs.

2. Feeding anthelmintic drugs. It is recommended that young dogs start feeding anthelmintic drugs before and 3 to 7 days after epidemic prevention.

3. Fasting within half an hour after feeding the anthelmintic drug, and eating normally after half an hour to ensure the effectiveness of the drug.
