Possible causes of blood in cats’ stools:

1. Parasitic infection: Cryptosporidium causes intestinal inflammation, leading to bleeding. Parasitic worms, such as hookworms or roundworms, suck blood from the intestinal wall, causing bloody stools.

2. Bacterial infections: including Salmonella, Campylobacter and E. coli. These infections can cause inflammation of the intestines, which over time can lead to bleeding.

3. Feline plague: leads to a decrease in white blood cells. Symptoms include loss of appetite, lack of energy, vomiting, bloody diarrhea and dehydration.

4. Constipation: There is no fixed standard for the number of bowel movements a cat has in a day, but the average number is 1-2 times. Hard feces can cause damage to the anus and cause bleeding.

5. Gastroenteritis: Acute gastroenteritis in cats can cause vomiting, diarrhea, and blood in the stool.

6. Foreign bodies: Cats ingesting foreign bodies can cause damage and compression to the gastrointestinal tract, and can also cause bloody stools.

7. Anal diseases: Certain anal diseases, such as perianal fistulas, anal sacculitis or abscesses, anal trauma, perineal hernia, etc., can also cause cats to have blood in their feces.

8. Tumors: Such as adenocarcinoma, lymphoma, rectal polyps, etc., can cause bloody stools in cats.

Solutions to cats with blood in their stools:

1. You should avoid giving your cat raw meat and other uncooked food, and deworm your cat on time. Work.

2. If bacterial infection occurs, give oral antibiotics and supportive care if necessary.

3. Mild constipation can be treated at home by providing extra fiber, laxatives, stool fluids and increasing water intake. Severely constipated cats require hospitalization.

4. If it is caused by a disease, take the cat to the hospital for examination and treatment as soon as possible.
