Generally speaking, cat repellent drops on the cat's fur have no effect. If a large amount of the drug is dropped on the hair, the drug will volatilize in large quantities and the insect repellent effect will not be achieved. It is recommended to use an appropriate dose of the drug again. Pet external anthelmintics are mainly absorbed through sebaceous glands, because the prerequisite for absorption is to be dropped directly on the skin surface. At the same time, in order to prevent pets from licking, the medicine needs to be dropped on areas that pets cannot lick, such as the top of the head, neck, etc.

Notes on cat deworming:

1. Do not use the kind added to bath water for external deworming. Cats have a special skin structure, and toxic substances can penetrate into the body through the skin. In addition, cats have the habit of licking their fur, so if you use that kind of anthelmintic, the cat will be poisoned and die.

2. Pay attention to the cat’s mental state after deworming. After deworming, some cats with weak stomachs and poor physical constitution will have symptoms such as vomiting, lack of energy and even fever. Generally, these symptoms will get better in 1 to 2 days. If this situation persists for several days, it is best to go to the hospital for treatment. Consult a doctor.

3. Preparation before and after deworming the cat. The cat should be bathed before external deworming. After it is completely dry, apply the deworming medicine on the back of the cat's neck where it cannot be licked. Do not bathe the cat again until the deworming medicine has expired. For internal deworming of cats, the cat should wait 3 to 4 hours after eating food and fast for 5 or 6 hours after feeding the deworming medicine to ensure the effectiveness of the medicine.
