Cats will have fever. The normal body temperature of cats should be 38-39.5°C. The normal body temperature of each cat will be slightly different and should be within this range. If the body temperature exceeds 39.5 degrees, the cat is considered to have a fever. The most effective way to confirm whether your cat has a fever is to use a specialized rectal thermometer to measure its temperature.
Symptoms of cat fever:
1. Increased body temperature.
2. Depression and lethargy.
3. Poor appetite and decreased appetite.
4. Like to stay in the shade.
5. Shortness of breath, dry and hot nose, and hot ear skin.
6. Weakness, dislike of exercise, reduced grooming behavior.
