Symptoms of canine parvovirus:

1. Dogs with enteritis type will have a fever, and the body temperature can reach about 40°C, and the nose will be dry. It mainly manifests as diarrhea and vomiting. The color of the vomitus will gradually fade, and a small amount of blood may appear. In severe cases, some bile and blood may be vomited, accompanied by a bloody stench.

2. Myocarditis type is more common in dogs aged 40 days. There may be no obvious clinical symptoms, but they will show sudden difficulty breathing, heart failure, and death in a short period of time. Some dogs may also suffer from myocarditis. Death occurred suddenly after mild diarrhea.

The treatment principles of canine parvovirus disease:

1. Early application of antibodies and interferons. The earlier the clinical application, the better the treatment effect.

2. Symptomatic treatment, including rehydration, hemostasis, antiemetics, antibacterial and anti-inflammation, to prevent secondary infection. Sick dogs often die due to diarrhea and dehydration, so rehydration is the main measure to treat this disease. During infusion, the infusion volume and infusion speed should be strictly controlled, and attention should be paid to the functional status of the heart, otherwise it may easily lead to treatment failure. When sick dogs show severe vomiting and diarrhea, dehydration, electrolyte imbalance and acid-base balance need to be corrected.

3. When the sick dog refuses to eat, has an accelerated heart rate, and has appetite or desire to drink if there is no vomiting, oral rehydration salts can be given.

4. Blood transfusion therapy has a good therapeutic effect on this disease. Albumin and amino acids can be transfused, combined with traditional Chinese medicine conditioning. .
