What should I do if my hamster’s nose keeps puffing?

There are usually two reasons for the puffy nose of a hamster:

1. It may be caused by the hamster catching a cold. When a hamster has a cold, its nose will be wet and make a puffing sound. At this time, you need to keep it warm. The owner needs to put a little isatis root in the kettle for the hamster to relieve cold symptoms. If you still don’t see improvement, you can go directly to the pet hospital for examination.

2. Allergic reaction. It may be that too much dust in the litter causes discomfort in the hamster's mouth and nose. It is recommended that the owner change the litter.

Tip:

If the hamster occasionally makes a popping sound when eating mealworms, it will be fine after a while. This phenomenon only occurs for a while. If so, it's probably because you choked on mealworms, and it doesn't matter at all.
