Cats scratching and biting at home when they were young are actually the same as puppies. They all have their teeth grinding period. At this time, you must train the kitten well and let the cat develop good habits from an early age. Otherwise, you will only be heartbroken when you come home one day and find a few scratches on the big leather sofa at home.

1. Buy some toys for the cat

For example, carpet combinations for claw grinding, hanging balls, moving toy mice, etc., let the cat play with toys until it is tired, and naturally has no energy to catch you.

2. Take it to a place dedicated to sharpening its claws many times

Prepare special claw grinding tools. Although there are many types sold in the market, it is also good to make your own. Just wrap strips of cloth around the board. If possible, prepare a few extra pieces and place them somewhere your cat likes to hang out. If your cat starts to scratch its claws on the furniture, say "no" immediately and take it to a place with a special wooden board. The owner can grab its front feet to sharpen its claws. The cat may be noisy at first, but after a few times it will patiently grind its claws. Praise it when it sharpens its claws very skillfully. In this way, the cat will naturally remember the place where it sharpened its claws.

3. Cut the cat’s nails

Basically all cats don’t like having their nails cut, and it’s not because they feel pain. Therefore, before cutting the cat's nails, it is best to choose a more comfortable place, put the cat on the legs or knees, stroke the soles of the feet first and then push out the claws to cut the nails.

4. How to use odor spray

Sometimes, if you can't wait any longer, you can spray stink or sprinkle vinegar that cats hate on the ground where you don't want it to grind its claws. However, the effect of this is temporary, and once the smell disappears, the effect will be gone. Therefore, it can be said that patient education is still the most important.

For kittens, when they reach a certain period of time, they will change their teeth. Of course, they will need something to grind their teeth. If the cat’s nails are long and the nails are not cut, of course the cat will rebel at home! As long as the above points are done, most cats will be very happy. Well-behaved.
