Acute side effects

It usually occurs within 30 minutes to 2 hours after vaccination, and sometimes occurs within 24 hours.

Initial symptoms include redness and swelling around the eyes and mouth, dilated pupils, white gums, and erythema on the body surface. Therefore, after the pet is vaccinated, the veterinarian usually allows the cat to be observed in the hospital for half an hour, and then go home if there is no abnormality. The owner should pay special attention to the pet's condition on the way home, and observe it closely for at least 8 hours.

Chronic side effects

After pets are vaccinated, small bumps may appear at the injection site. Most of them will slowly subside over time and will not cause major problems. But if this kind of swelling does not go away after a few weeks, it is very likely that there will be side effects of the vaccine. The probability of such side effects is about 1 in 5,000, and the specific cause is still unknown.

From this point of view, vaccination is not a foolproof thing, and there are dangers. Although the probability of such dangers is not high, it still requires the owner to pay enough attention. If you find that your cat has side effects after being vaccinated, please take your pet to the hospital immediately for further diagnosis and treatment to avoid delaying the best treatment time and causing irreparable consequences.
