If we talk about the most popular cats recently, the orange cat must have a place, and some may even occupy two or three seats. After all, the "orange sitting" is still impressive. One of the reasons why orange cats are so popular is their “body advantage” that cannot be ignored.

As the saying goes: "Nine out of ten orange cats are fat, and one is as big as an elephant." Moreover, there seems to be more and more evidence that orange cats have lost every trace of their flesh. Sorry, it’s really hard to think about not being fat.

Why?

In the natural environment, male cats are larger than female cats in size. If it is a domestic cat, after the male cat has been castrated, the only love issue that needs to be worried about is no longer needed. He only needs to eat, drink and be cute every day, and weight gain will often become even more uncontrollable. Therefore, you will find that most of the guys who are overweight are male cats. Unfortunately - two-thirds of orange cats are male cats (some say 80% are male cats), which is very impressive in terms of proportion. If you have orange cats at home and they are both male and female, please let me see their bellies.

Why is this happening? Because...

Why is there such a large proportion of male cats among orange cats? The director tells you: it is indeed the color that should be blamed.

The inheritance of cat coat color belongs to sex-linked inheritance. The paired gene that determines coat color is located on the sex chromosome. In other words, the X chromosome determines the color of the cat. Next comes the particularly important point.

Generally speaking, the color of a cat is determined by the Orange gene (allele gene O/o). The dominant "O" of the Orange allele gene will express reddish-brown chromaffin melanin, and the recessive "o" will express black eumelanin. This set of dual genes are co-dominant, which means that if a cat is heterozygous Oo, it will display red and black at the same time (please note that white is not included in the color.). However, because the Orange gene is located on the X sex chromosome, the male cat's sex chromosome is XY, and the Y chromosome does not carry the coat color gene, so it will only be expressed based on the genes on the X chromosome.

In other words, the male cat is either XoY- black or XOY- red, which is an orange cat!

Many orange cat owners have found that orange cats are particularly easy to feed. Not only do they eat a lot, but they are not picky eaters. Some orange cats like Lei Feng, in addition to eating all the food in their own food bowls, will also happily help their friends who don’t like to eat clean up their leftovers. After that, they are also very willing to do it if you need it. Jump on your dining room table.

Such a foodie will soon distance himself from the friends around him.

For Ju Pang, there is nothing that cannot be solved by one top-quality can. If it doesn’t work, just open three more.

Some particularly idle scientists have discovered that color may not determine a cat’s stature, but it is very likely to affect their personality. "National Geographic Magazine" published the relationship between cats' coat color, saying that tortoiseshell cats tend to be more independent and like to be alone; white cats are gentle and love to be coquettish; while orange cats are very sociable and outgoing... As the saying goes , the heart is broad and the body is... half a month...

This meat looks neither unfair nor unfair...

One more thing, if you take a closer look at your orange cat, you will find that all orange cats have markings, but the shades and patterns are different. Some large orange cats that appear to be solid colors actually have less obvious markings. Common markings include tiger stripes, spiky stripes, standard stripes and spots.

The first three of them are horizontal "striped shirts", and this kind of stripes has always been unfriendly to fat people.

It seems that orange cats are indeed much more likely to suffer from obesity. Even though Fat Orange looks particularly cute and has a celebrity physique, looking at the humans holding orange cats, they always smile like old mothers. But after all, the health of our cats is more important.

What's more, orange color and obesity cannot be completely equated. The main factor that determines whether a cat is fat or thin is ultimately what humans feed it and whether humans spend time with it to exercise.
