If the weather is very hot, hamsters will die from the heat. Hamsters' sweat glands are underdeveloped and cannot discharge sweat from their bodies in time when the weather is hot.

If the hamster feels particularly hot, it will first appear to be excited and run around. After a few minutes, it will suddenly become silent and remain in a sleeping position. If the hamster is not cooled down in time, it will be heated to death.

Methods to help hamsters cool down:

1. Spread marble, find small pieces of marble, put them in the nest and the hamster will stick to them and melt them into hamster paper.

2. Lay out pebbles and put it in the refrigerator for a while. The hamster will fall asleep leaning against it.

3. Lay aluminum plates, which can cool down quickly and are harmless to hamsters. Most hamsters like it.

4. Place a basin of water directly next to the hamster cage or storage box. The evaporation of the water will take away the heat. Although it is not obvious to humans, it can still be felt by hamsters.

5. Wash the cage more often, and sprinkle water around it if nothing happens.
